Syria Welcomes the Lifting of American Export Restrictions: A Strong Boost for Modernizing the Civil Aviation Sector

The Syrian Civil Aviation Authority welcomed today, Friday, the decision of the U.S. Department of Commerce to ease restrictions on exporting civilian products to Syria, considering that this step opens the door for the arrival of modern technology and spare parts necessary for the development of the aviation sector.

The head of the authority, Omar Al-Hosari, stated that the decision represents a strategic shift towards safer and more modern skies, contributing to the modernization of air fleets by facilitating the import of civilian equipment, along with the development of navigation and communication systems using the latest software.

Al-Hosari added that lifting the restrictions would enhance the infrastructure of Syrian airports by introducing advanced equipment and technologies that comply with international standards, thereby increasing the level of trust among international partners and enhancing cooperation opportunities in the field of aviation.
