The security forces in Homs province managed to seize a truck loaded with "Grad" missiles heading to Lebanon, after executing a tight ambush near the border.
The Syrian News Channel reported that the seized items were confiscated, and an official seizure report was prepared according to the applicable procedures.
This comes in the context of the ongoing campaigns by the security forces on both sides of the Syrian-Lebanese border to combat arms smuggling operations, as several attempts to transport shells and missiles from Syria to Lebanon and vice versa have been thwarted in recent months, according to official statements issued by the Syrian army and internal security.
