The Swiss government has reiterated its refusal to repatriate its citizens held in camps in northeastern Syria, suspected of belonging to the Islamic State (ISIS), reaffirming its commitment to the decision made in March 2019 regarding this matter.
The Swiss Foreign Ministry, according to the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation, stated that the decision stipulates not to initiate the repatriation of any adult citizen linked to the organization, not to issue passports for them, and to limit consular services only in cases where their lives or safety are in immediate danger.
Three men and one Swiss woman, along with her eight-year-old daughter, are being held in those camps.
