Supporting political transition in Syria... Who are the "Group of Seven"?

In the statement, the group members welcomed the outcomes of the international conference on Syria hosted by France on February 13, reaffirming their joint commitment to the Syrian people and supporting a comprehensive political transition.
The G7 also welcomed recent positive developments in Lebanon, including the election of a Lebanese president, reiterating their commitment to stability, sovereignty, and the territorial integrity of both Syria and Lebanon, as stated in the official statement released by the U.S. Department of State on Saturday, February 15.
What is the Group of Seven (G7)?
The group members are considered the largest advanced economies in the world according to the International Monetary Fund and the wealthiest liberal democratic systems.
The G7 was established in 1973 following a special meeting of finance ministers and has since become a prominent official forum for discussing and coordinating solutions related to major global issues.
The G7 summit is held annually, and high-level officials from G7 countries and the European Union meet throughout the year.
It is worth noting that on February 14, the Munich Security Conference began, continuing until today, Sunday, the 16th of the same month, in its 61st edition, with the participation of over 50 heads of state and government, and around 100 defense and foreign ministers.
One of the topics on the agenda of the German Foreign Minister during the conference is a meeting on the feminist foreign policy approach for the Syrian people, as mentioned on the official website of the German Foreign Ministry.
The Munich Security Conference was first held in 1963 under the name "Conference on Military Sciences," with a small group of participants, planning to transform it into an international conference to allow German participants to meet their counterparts from the United States and other NATO countries.
Over time, the conference expanded to include CEOs, human rights activists, environmental advocates, and other leaders from around the world.
