The intensity of European voices calling for an end to the war on Gaza is increasing, with officials trying to alleviate the ongoing suffering of Palestinians since October 2023.

This shift in tone against Israel is evident today following statements by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who said that the situation in Gaza "is worsening day by day" and that it is essential to ensure that the Palestinian sector receives more urgent humanitarian aid.

Responding to journalists in Scotland about whether the UK will take any action on this issue, Starmer said, "The situation in Gaza is unbearable and worsening day by day."

He added, "That's why we are working with our allies to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches quickly and in quantities that are not currently reaching, causing immense destruction."

It is worth noting that the British government summoned the Israeli ambassador to London, Tzipi Hotovely, on May 20th regarding the expansion of military operations in Gaza.
