Sources: Hezbollah Ministers Withdraw from Ministerial Meeting in Protest Against Proposal to Disarm the Party

Reuters reported from three Lebanese political sources that the ministers of the Hezbollah group and its Shiite allies in the Lebanese government withdrew from a ministerial meeting held today, Thursday, in protest against the discussion of a proposal to disarm the group.

The Lebanese Cabinet tasked the army on Thursday with developing a plan to restrict weapons throughout the country to the state, in defiance of the group that rejects calls to disarm.
