The Syrian Telecommunications Company signed a memorandum of understanding today, Monday, with the Jordanian Aqaba Digital Group, aimed at developing the digital infrastructure in Syria.
The memorandum was signed by the General Director of the Syrian Telecommunications Company, Engineer Jamal al-Din Khatib, and the head of the "NaiTel" company, which is part of the Aqaba Group, Engineer Mohannad Habak.
For his part, Khatib explained that the memorandum represents a strategic step towards enhancing the fiber optic connection between Damascus and Amman, which contributes to the development of digital transport services and opens new horizons for partnership in the telecommunications sector.
Khatib also expressed his confidence that this cooperation will directly benefit the two brotherly peoples and support the efforts of both countries to keep pace with global developments in the field of telecommunications and technology.
