German Car Exports to the United States Sharply Decline Due to Trump's Tariffs

The association mentioned that car exports to the United States dropped by 13% in April and 25% in May compared to the same months of the previous year. It added that around 64,300 cars were shipped to the United States during the two months.
In an attempt to boost the American industry, Trump imposed a 25% customs duty on car imports from the European Union in April. Since May, it has also been applied to car parts.
