SDF Denies Report of '30-Day Deadline to Merge with Syrian Government' and Describes it as Misleading

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) categorically denied what was stated in a report published by Middle East Eye about its future and role in Syria, describing the information in it as "false claims" aimed at deliberately "misleading public opinion."

A statement issued by the SDF's Media Center stated that the mentioned report contains inaccurate information not based on any reliable source, indicating that its purpose is to disrupt the political and military positions of the forces in this critical stage.

Middle East Eye had reported, citing unnamed sources, that the United States and Turkey had given the Syrian Democratic Forces a 30-day deadline to complete its integration process with the Syrian government, as part of undisclosed understandings between the parties concerned.

The SDF emphasized in its response that these allegations are completely unfounded and do not reflect the reality of the relationships or understandings on the ground, reaffirming its commitment to combating terrorism, protecting the residents of northern and eastern Syria, and working towards a comprehensive political solution that guarantees the rights of all Syrians.
