During a joint press conference held in Damascus with the Syrian Foreign Minister and Expatriates, Asaad Al Shibli, he stated: "I am pleased to be present with you in Damascus today, where I am honored to convey the greetings of my master, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, may God protect them, to His Excellency President Bashar al-Assad, wishing fraternal Syria further security, stability, and prosperity." He added: "The historical ties between the Kingdom and Syria reflect the depth of the strong relations that have always been based on supporting stability and enhancing economic development opportunities, befitting Syria and its people." The Saudi Minister pointed out the ongoing coordination with sisterly and friendly countries, including the United States, to enhance security, stability, and prosperity in the region. He said: "The Kingdom reaffirms its steadfast position in supporting the unity and stability of Syria, and supporting anything that reflects the joy of the Syrian people in achieving their aspirations." Regarding the economy, Prince Faisal bin Farhan announced that both sides are working on launching promising investment and commercial projects, especially in the energy, trade, and telecommunications sectors, noting a significant interest from Saudi investors in Syria, based on the principles of partnership and mutual interests.
