Saudi Crown Prince Meets Iranian Foreign Minister to Discuss Regional De-escalation
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his accompanying delegation at the Palace of Peace in Jeddah. The two sides discussed bilateral relations, as well as the latest developments in the region and the efforts being made towards them.

During the meeting, the Crown Prince expressed the Kingdom's aspiration for a ceasefire agreement to help create conditions for enhancing security and stability in the region, reaffirming the Kingdom's consistent support for dialogue as a means to resolve disputes and the use of diplomatic means to settle conflicts.

On his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister appreciated the Kingdom's stance in condemning Israeli strikes and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Crown Prince to enhance security and stability in the region, emphasizing the importance of direct communication in addressing common issues.

This meeting follows the reception of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan by his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, during which they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the latest developments in the region, and the efforts being made to achieve security and stability.

The meeting was attended by the Political Affairs Advisor to the Foreign Minister Prince Musab bin Mohammed Al Saud, Advisor Mohammed Al Yahya, Director General of the General Administration for Asian Countries Nasser Al Ghannam, and Foreign Ministry Advisor Dr. Manal Radwan.
