Saudi Arabia renewed today, Tuesday, its confirmation of its supportive positions towards Syria and its rejection of interference in its internal affairs.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the Council of Ministers, during its session, emphasized the contents of the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and a number of countries regarding the developments in Syria, and the joint efforts to support the Syrian government in rebuilding the country, ensuring its security, stability, unity, and sovereignty.

On the other hand, the Saudi Minister of Media, Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari, clarified in a statement that the Council followed the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom to the Syrian people to alleviate their suffering, thereby enhancing its continuous support for Arab and Islamic countries, and its leading role in supporting and assisting the needy and affected people in the world through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works.

Last week, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed satisfaction after monitoring the developments in Syria, regarding the measures taken by the Syrian government to achieve security, stability, and the preservation of civil peace, and to ensure the sovereignty of the state and its institutions over the entire Syrian territory, in a way that preserves the unity, security, and aspirations of the Syrian people.
