Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman discussed with the new Yemeni Prime Minister, Salem bin Saleh bin Breik, the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts made to achieve stability and development in the country. During the meeting, Prince Khalid emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's continued support for the Yemeni government in its pursuit of the economic and developmental aspirations of the Yemeni people. Prince Khalid also conveyed the Saudi leadership's greetings and congratulations to the new Yemeni Prime Minister on his appointment, expressing wishes for his success in his national mission, and Saudi Arabia's desire for security, stability, and prosperity for the Yemeni people. The visit also included discussions on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including security and economic cooperation. It is worth mentioning that Salem bin Breik's appointment came by a decision of the Presidential Council in Yemen, succeeding former President Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, who had previously resigned. It was also confirmed that government members will continue to carry out their duties in accordance with their previous appointments. The meeting between Prince Khalid bin Salman and the Yemeni Prime Minister comes at a sensitive time for Yemen, which faces significant challenges at political and security levels, necessitating continuous international and local support to ensure the country's stability and fulfill the Yemeni people's hopes for a better future.
