Saudi Arabia during the UN Conference on Two-State Solution: Security in the Middle East begins with granting Palestinians their rights

Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized in his opening speech that "achieving security in the Middle East begins with granting Palestinians their rights".
The Saudi Foreign Minister also stressed the need to stop the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and hold those responsible accountable. He added: "The Arab Peace Initiative is the basis for a just solution to the Palestinian issue".
The French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, also delivered a speech, affirming that the two-state solution will meet the legitimate aspirations of Palestinians. He emphasized that "targeting children and women cannot be accepted".
Le Drian added: "We must move to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict immediately after the war ends".
The UN General Assembly, comprising 193 members, had approved holding the conference in 2025 in September of last year, but the Israeli attack on Iran in June led to its postponement before being rescheduled for this week.
The conference aims to establish clear standards for a roadmap leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, while ensuring Israel's security.
