The 62nd session of the Damascus International Fair kicks off this evening at the exhibition grounds in the countryside of Damascus, with wide participation from around 800 local and international companies, amid a prominent official and economic presence, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which participates as a guest of honor in this session, in a step that reflects the development of bilateral relations and economic openness between the two countries.
Quality Saudi Participation: Government Entities and 80 National Companies
Saudi Arabia is participating with a high-level delegation that includes the Ministries of Energy and Investment, the Saudi Export Development Authority, the Saudi-Syrian Business Council, and the Saudi Export-Import Bank, along with more than 80 national companies from various sectors including energy, industry, food, and services, aiming to enhance trade and investment relations, and to highlight the competitiveness of Saudi products in the Syrian market.
Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding in Strategic Sectors
The participating Saudi entities confirmed that the fair will witness the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of energy and renewable energy, investment, and trade, which will contribute to opening new horizons for economic integration between Riyadh and Damascus.

Under the slogan "We Resemble Each Other", the Saudi participation highlights the shared values and cultural closeness, which creates a favorable environment for cooperation and joint investment, reflecting the strength of the brotherly and historical ties between the two countries.
Support for the Kingdom's Vision 2030
This participation comes as part of the Kingdom's direction towards expanding its presence in regional and international exhibitions and strengthening its trade partnerships, in support of achieving Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economic base and increase the contribution of non-oil exports to the gross domestic product.
