Saudi Arabia and Qatar are contributing to supporting Syria by settling its dues to the World Bank.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its gratitude to both Saudi Arabia and Qatar for their kind initiative to settle Syria's outstanding financial arrears with the World Bank Group, amounting to 15 million US dollars.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry affirmed that this step reflects a shared commitment from both countries to support the Syrian people, alleviate economic burdens, enhance cooperation with international institutions, and contribute to the recovery and reconstruction process in Syria.

The statement emphasized that joint Arab cooperation is the optimal way to address current challenges in the region, noting that Syria looks forward to enhancing relations with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and building effective partnerships that benefit Arab nations and contribute to regional stability.

This initiative is a significant step towards strengthening ties among Arab countries at a time when the region faces economic and political challenges, opening up new opportunities for cooperation in various fields.
