Safwat Raslan, the director of the Syrian Development Fund, stated in an interview with the Syrian "News" channel today, Tuesday, that the fund was established to support sustainable economic development in Syria, and is considered one of the main pillars of the Supreme Council for Economic Development, alongside the Investment Authority and the Sovereign Fund.

Raslan explained that the fund aims to lead the reconstruction process in a modern and transparent manner, allowing Syrians inside and outside the country to actively participate in building their future, emphasizing that the funding will primarily be national, through contributions from the government, institutions, and individuals.

He added: "We are not talking about a temporary emergency project, but about a long-term strategic vision aimed at building a real bridge between Syrians abroad and developmental projects inside, which enhances trust and stimulates national investment."

This approach comes within the framework of restructuring the Syrian economy on developmental foundations, taking into account justice and transparency, and opening the door for broad community participation in shaping the features of the next phase.
