Russia's Representative to the Security Council: Kurds Must Be Integrated into a Unified Syrian State

Russia's representative to the Security Council, Dmitry Polyanskiy, said today, Thursday, that the Kurds must be integrated into a unified Syrian state.

Polyanskiy also called during a Security Council session on the situation in Syria for an end to the Israeli occupation of the Golan and for the implementation of the 1974 disengagement agreement.

Polyanskiy stated: "We are concerned about the attacks on humanitarian workers," noting that lifting sanctions opens "a window of hope for Syria."

He expressed gratitude for Damascus's steps to ensure the safety of Russian citizens in Syria.
