Russia accuses Norway, Sweden, and Finland of enhancing military infrastructure for NATO

Russian Ambassador to Norway, Nikolai Korchunov, confirmed that the Nordic countries are working to enhance military and logistical cooperation to support the interests of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Korchunov said in statements to the Russian news agency "Sputnik": "Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki are cooperating to increase military mobility by developing transport routes and logistics from west to east, as well as jointly using military bases and other infrastructure across borders".
He added: "Efforts are also being made to unify products of the defense industries and increase the share of joint defense purchases", indicating deepening defense integration among these countries.
This statement comes at a time when Russia has warned against NATO's expansion northward, with President Vladimir Putin stating last March that the alliance views the far north as a strategic area for potential conflicts, affirming that Moscow "will not allow any encroachment on its sovereignty and will protect its interests".
On the other hand, the Russian Embassy in London accused Britain of playing a key role in escalating tensions during the recent NATO summit, pointing out that London "carried the banner of confrontation with Russia".
The embassy issued a statement stating: "What it described as 'anti-Russian hysteria' contradicts the officially declared national security objectives of Britain".
It warned that "the military infrastructure creep of NATO towards Russia's borders, and the rearmament of member states, will cancel out peace gains and push Europe into its most dangerous phase since World War II".
