Four informed sources told Reuters that the Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Central Bank Governor of Syria plan to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which will be held in Washington later this month.
This will be the first official Syrian delegation to participate in the meetings in at least two decades.
Two sources said, "It is not yet clear whether the officials have obtained entry visas to the United States."
The Spring Meetings 2025 of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund are scheduled to take place from Monday, April 21 to Saturday, April 26.
