Bodies of Indian Plane Crash Victims Mistakenly Handed Over to Wrong Families

In the latest development regarding the Indian plane that crashed in Ahmedabad last month, shocking errors occurred during the process of handing over the bodies of the "Air India" victims, leading to some British families receiving bodies that did not belong to their deceased relatives who perished in the tragic incident.
British families who lost their relatives in the ill-fated plane crash revealed experiencing compounded pain, as it was discovered that the remains of their loved ones were mistakenly identified before being repatriated to the United Kingdom.
Preliminary investigations indicated that some of the 261 victims' bodies were misidentified before being transported from India to the UK, forcing families to cancel burial ceremonies after the identity mistake was confirmed, as reported by the British newspaper "Daily Mail".
In another instance, it was found that the remains of two victims were mixed up and placed in a single coffin, necessitating their later separation before the funeral ceremonies.
Forensic pathologist in West London, Dr. Fiona Wilcox, stated the importance of matching all repatriated bodies with the DNA samples provided by the British families.
