Renovation of 448 Schools.. The Syrian Education Ministry Discusses Plans for School Rehabilitation and Strengthening Its Staff

The Syrian Ministry of Education held a meeting today, Tuesday, with representatives from international and local organizations to discuss the plan for the renovation and rehabilitation of schools, and to emphasize the strengthening of the capabilities of educational staff and the integration of children with disabilities.

According to the official "SANA" agency, the meeting addressed measures to support education, which included:
– Implementing training programs for teachers.
– Expanding compensatory education.
– Securing school seats for students returning from abroad.
– Equipping activity halls and providing logistical support for them.

The Director of School Buildings, Engineer Mohammed Al-Hanoun, also reviewed the status of educational buildings, adding that 448 schools have been renovated since liberation to date out of 7200 in need of repair, noting that the campaign "Return My School to Me" aims to renovate 300 schools in the current phase.

It is noteworthy that the ministry launched on August 17th of this month the initiative "Return My School to Me" to develop the educational reality in Syria.
