The Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) search teams recovered unprotected and endangered remains of three unidentified individuals near Yabroud city in northern Damascus countryside, and handed them over to the forensic medicine in Damascus. The White Helmets stated that their search team responded to a report from civilians about human remains at risk of disappearance in the Rima area near Yabroud in northern Damascus countryside. According to Syria TV, the team found human remains and bones unprotected (secondary burial) on the edge of a dirt road in a rugged mountainous area on the outskirts of southeastern Rima. The search team found a bag and a urinary catheter tube with the remains, indicating that the remains belong to two men and a woman, recently transferred to the site where they were found, although the death occurred several years ago. The Civil Defense explained that the remains were recovered by the team according to the established standards in the recovery and documentation process, then they were transported and handed over to the forensic medicine (Identification Center) in Damascus. The remains show signs of skull fractures caused by gunshot wounds.
