Following the explosions that rocked the Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, Iranian parliament member Mohammad Saraj made sharp statements, indicating that the incident "was by no means accidental," and accusing Israel of involvement.
He pointed out that the simultaneous explosions at four different sites indicate the pre-planting of explosives inside the containers, either in the country of origin or during transport, completely ruling out the accidental chemical ignition scenario.
Saraj added that the technology used in the explosion could be very advanced, suggesting the use of satellites or remotely controlled timers to precisely time the explosions.
He also mentioned that the enemy had previously tested this method, referring to the explosion in the port of Beirut, adding that the goal is to disrupt Iran's international relations, especially amid ongoing negotiations with the United States.
He affirmed that despite the severity of this incident, it will not affect the will of the Iranian people, emphasizing that the "spirit of resilience" will not be broken, and recalling what he described as "Iran's possession of active elements within the Israeli entity," referring to the recent arrest of an Israeli minister on charges of spying for Tehran.
Iranian President Masoud Bazkian visited the explosion site, offered condolences to the families of the victims, declared national mourning, and confirmed that the government will take all necessary measures to follow up on the incident and stand by the affected individuals.
