The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, denied today, Friday, the presence of any remnants of the former regime in northern and eastern Syria.
Abdi stated: "We have agreed with Damascus to exclude the military solution to resolve the outstanding issues between us."
He mentioned that a delegation of locals from the region will be formed to engage in dialogue with Damascus regarding the future of the region and the Syrian state.
He emphasized that the SDF is ready to integrate the self-administration institutions with the structure of the Syrian state, but "based on the principle of consensus."
