The official spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF", Abgar Dawood, confirmed that the issue of handing over SDF's weapons at the current time is "impossible".

Dawood told Kurdish media that "amid the ongoing tensions in Syria, the escalation of violence, and the threat of ISIS, it is impossible for our forces to surrender their weapons".

He also added that "SDF can join the Syrian army through a constitutional agreement that recognizes the Kurdish component's specificity", according to him.
Abgar Dawood continued, "SDF is not for war, but it will defend its people wherever it is present".
