Qatari Foreign Ministry: Negotiations between Israel and Hamas to stop the war in Gaza will take time

A new round of indirect negotiations to reach a ceasefire and end 21 months of fighting in the Gaza Strip started in Doha on Sunday, with Al-Ansari confirming the continuation of discussions for the third day.
Responding to a question about the possibility of reaching an agreement at a press conference in Doha, Al-Ansari added: "I don't think I can specify a timeframe at the moment, but I can say that it will take time."
Qatar, along with the United States and Egypt, has been hosting talks aimed at securing a ceasefire in Gaza since the early days of the war that erupted following Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
