Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, Friday, that Russia is ready to hold a new round of peace negotiations with Ukraine, possibly in Istanbul, but there is no agreement yet on the date and location.
Putin pointed to significant differences between the proposals presented by both sides in previous talks and expressed hope that continued dialogue would narrow the gap.
In statements to journalists in Minsk, Putin said that negotiators from both sides are in constant contact. He also said that Russia is ready to return the bodies of another 3000 Ukrainian soldiers.
