Putin on the West: Our Enemies Are Captives of a Wild Desire to Stop Our Advance in Ukraine

In a strongly worded message, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the West is now subject to a wild desire to stop the advance of Russian forces in Ukraine at any cost, after failing to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia as initially promised.


Putin added: "Just recently, everyone was talking, our enemies and those who harbor ill intentions towards us were pledging to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia on the battlefield."


He concluded his remarks: "Today, however, they have one urgent passion, which is to stop our advance at any cost, whether through promises of a better life, or through certain threats, or by strengthening and arming Ukrainian forces. They want to stop us, and then move on to strengthening and rearming."
