Putin calls for the first Russian-Arab summit to enhance cooperation and peace.

The Kremlin announced today, Saturday, May 17, that Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited all Arab leaders, in addition to the Secretary-General of the Arab League, to attend the first Russian-Arab summit scheduled for October 15.
In a statement carried by the "Interfax" agency, Putin said: "I am confident that this meeting will contribute to enhancing the multifaceted and diverse cooperation between our countries, and will help in finding ways to achieve peace, security, and stability in the Middle East and North Africa."
This invitation comes after a tour by US President Donald Trump in the Gulf region last week, where the visit lasted four days, and Washington announced several agreements, the most prominent being a Saudi commitment to invest $600 billion in the United States, arms deals worth $142 billion, in addition to a partnership in artificial intelligence with the UAE.
