Provocative Statement: Ben Gavir Supports Starving Gazans

Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gavir, rejected the idea of a famine in the Gaza Strip, declaring his support for "starving Hamas in Gaza."
Ben Gavir wrote on his X account: "There is no real hunger in Gaza. If they were hungry, they would return the hostages to their homes. I support starving Hamas in Gaza."
It is worth mentioning that the number of deaths resulting from famine and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has risen to 113, after recording two new deaths in the past twenty-four hours, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health in its latest count yesterday, Thursday.
International organizations, including the World Food Program and UNICEF, have repeatedly expressed concern about the looming famine in Gaza, especially in the northern part of the Strip, where residents suffer from severe food and clean water shortages, threatening the lives of children and the elderly in particular.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Sunday that Israel is starving a million children in the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that hospitals in Gaza are receiving hundreds of cases daily suffering from severe exhaustion and serious symptoms due to hunger, including memory loss and acute energy deficiency, amidst a near-complete shortage of beds and medical supplies.
Since March 2, 2025, Israel has closed all crossings with the Strip and prevented the entry of food and medical aid, leading to the spread of famine within the Strip.
The bloody war left around 200,000 Palestinians dead or injured, most of them children and women, with over 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and a famine that claimed the lives of many.
