President Emmanuel Macron of France announced last night the postponement of the international conference on the Palestinian state, which was scheduled to be held at the United Nations next week, citing security and logistical reasons for its delay, but he confirmed that the conference "will be held as soon as possible." During a press conference at the Elysee Palace, Macron emphasized that postponing the conference does not weaken France's commitment to the two-state solution, stating: "We are determined to advance the two-state solution, and under any circumstances, I am committed to recognizing the state of Palestine." The French President explained that recognition of the Palestinian state will be based on certain conditions, including: * Disarmament of Hamas in Gaza. * A demilitarized Palestinian state. * Recognition by the Palestinian state of the security and existence of Israel. * International support through a stabilization mission to secure the transitional phase. Macron pointed out that this approach aims to integrate Israel into its regional environment within a permanent and comprehensive solution, clarifying that a new date for the conference will be set soon in cooperation with regional leaders, including Saudi Arabia. Macron was supposed to participate in the international conference in New York on Wednesday, which France and Saudi Arabia co-chair, as a new attempt to revive negotiations on the two-state solution. Macron concluded by affirming that "the momentum created by this conference will not stop," indicating the continuation of French diplomatic efforts towards resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
