Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called on his country and Europe to be prepared for the possibility of a major conflict with Russia by 2027, indicating that his government will intensively use the next two years to enhance internal stability and ensure national security.
His remarks came during a public meeting in the town of Pabianice near the city of Lodz in central Poland, where he spoke about concerning security assessments.
Tusk based his statements on a new assessment provided by the new Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, General Alexis Grinkievich, who recently informed him that by 2027, Russia and China may reach a level of power that would allow them to launch a coordinated confrontation against NATO and the United States.
Amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Western military experts differ in their assessments of the timing of the conflict escalation, but 2027 is considered a likely date for a broader confrontation to erupt.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius suggested that this confrontation may occur in 2029, reflecting the growing concern in European capitals.
The European Union, in turn, is racing against time to enhance its defense capabilities to fully prepare its countries to counter any potential Russian attack by 2030.
Meanwhile, Russia continues to strengthen its armed forces, but dismisses all Western warnings about its aggressive intentions as unfounded.
The Russian leadership, through its media outlets including the newspaper 'Komsomolskaya Pravda', accused NATO of planning to attack Russia in 2027, in a response that completely contradicts the escalating Western narrative.
