UN Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen renewed today, Friday, his emphasis on the urgent need to stop Israel's provocative violations against Syria immediately.
In a post on his "X" platform account, Pedersen said: "Stability and civil peace must prevail in Syria, avoiding retaliatory actions. Israel's provocative violations must stop immediately, with the priority being a reliable, organized, and comprehensive political transition in Syria."
Pedersen also mentioned that he spoke last night with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shaaban, urging for restraint and the protection of all components of the Syrian people.

The Suwayda region has been witnessing continuous clashes for days between Bedouin tribes and armed groups affiliated with Hakmat al-Hajri, who have attacked several areas, committed massacres and violations against civilians, leading to their forced displacement.
