In an official two-day visit, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman will embark on a visit to Algeria tomorrow, Sunday, in a "state" visit aimed at enhancing the historical relations between the two countries. During the visit, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq will hold a meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, as well as to consult and coordinate on regional and international issues that serve the common interests of both countries. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening joint Arab work, developing cooperation in the fields of economy, investment, education, and sustainable development, in addition to coordinating positions on regional and international challenges. It is worth mentioning that this visit comes after a similar visit by the Algerian President to the Sultanate of Oman in October of last year, where 8 memoranda of understanding were signed covering various vital sectors such as environment, financial services, media, education, among others, reflecting the commitment of both countries to developing their partnership in all areas.
