Omani Foreign Minister conducts intensive communications to contain the regional escalation between Iran and Israel.

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement issued today, Saturday, June 14, that Minister Badr Al-Busaidi continues his diplomatic contacts with a number of counterparts in sisterly and friendly countries, as part of efforts to reduce the dangerous military tensions in the region.
The statement read: "Intensive communications are ongoing to contain the tension and the dangerous military escalation in the region, caused by Israel's direct attacks on Iranian territories since the early hours of Friday morning."
The statement highlighted Al-Busaidi's emphasis during these contacts on "the importance of stopping the aggression, deterring the aggressor using peaceful means based on international law and justice to prevent bloodshed, halt destruction, and prevent further casualties, in order to preserve the security, stability, and highest interests of the region's peoples."
This comes as the region witnesses an unprecedented military escalation between Israel and Iran, with the two forces continuing for the second day in a row to exchange airstrikes and missile attacks.
The Israeli army had launched a "preemptive strike" against Iranian nuclear and military targets, following warnings from U.S. President Donald Trump of an imminent Israeli attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.
In response, Iran fired successive waves of ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv, stating that there are "no limits" in confronting Israel after it "crossed all red lines."
Oman continues its diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis, calling for peaceful solutions to ensure the stability of the region.
