Occupation Army: Israeli presence in Syria is no longer temporary.

The Israeli army radio stated that "the Israeli presence in Syria is no longer temporary as 9 military sites are being built in the security zone."
According to the Israeli army radio, "Israel has quietly established a security zone inside Syrian territory, and there is currently no final date for retaining that area."
It added that "3 brigades are operating there compared to a battalion and a half before October 7, 2023, and confirmed that "the army plans to stay in Syria throughout 2025."
These statements come shortly after Israeli warplanes carried out raids targeting military sites in the Kesweh area in the countryside of Damascus, leading to violent explosions and large fires in the area.
These airstrikes are part of a series of repeated Israeli strikes on Syrian territory, which Israel claims are targeting sites linked to armed groups.
This targeting comes amid escalating tensions on the Syrian-Israeli borders, as Israeli forces continue to expand their presence in the Quneitra province.
Since December 8, 2024, Israel has intensified its military operations in Syria, occupying the demilitarized zone and gaining control of Mount Hermon, in addition to expanding its military operations in Quneitra and the countryside of Damascus.
