The Internal Transport Authority in Syria has announced the start of working on setting a new tariff for minibuses and buses, after determining the internal transport fare and implementing it in several provinces.
Omar Qattan, the director of the Internal Transport Authority, also explained that the Public Passenger Transport Corporation has adjusted the fare for public and private internal transport buses, as part of the plan to regulate transportation within cities.
According to "Sham FM" radio, the authority relies on specific criteria to implement the new tariff to achieve a balance between operating expenses and the interests of citizens.
The government has started implementing the new tariff of 2000 Syrian pounds in the cities of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Hama, and Latakia starting from 09/02/2025.
