New security measures in As-Suwayda to secure the road and protect the citizens.

In a significant step in line with the directives issued by religious authorities, some dignitaries of the province, and relevant official bodies, the Governor of Al-Suwayda, Mustafa Al-Bakour, announced the activation of local police in the province to enhance security and stability. Al-Bakour clarified that all police officers are from Al-Suwayda, except for the police chief and administrators who are under the Ministry of Interior's supervision. Efforts include securing the Damascus-Al-Suwayda road with security patrols to ensure citizens' safety and provide security in the area. Al-Bakour emphasized that any party attempting to threaten citizens, security personnel, or police will be dealt with firmly and forcefully. In a firm message, Al-Bakour called on everyone to adhere to the fatwas issued by the Fatwa Council, warning that anyone who misbehaves will be held accountable according to the law.
