The Water Directorate in Hama launches a new project to improve drinking water in the Bab Qibli neighborhood, as part of the "Hama Revives" initiative, in collaboration with the international organization Oxfam.
Engineer Hussam Haroun, Director of the Audit and Implementation Directorate at the Hama Water Establishment, emphasized that the establishment is constantly seeking to develop water services in the city by implementing various projects in different neighborhoods, aiming to provide citizens with higher quality and more efficient drinking water.
Haroun explained that the project resulted from precise field studies that revealed the need in the Bab Qibli neighborhood to enhance the water supply, especially in high-rise buildings suffering from water access issues. This prompted the establishment to implement a new supporting water line with a diameter of 90 mm to improve water distribution and ensure better access for all residents.
He added that technical workshops have already started their work by cutting the asphalt and beginning the necessary excavations to prepare the way for laying the new line, noting that this project is a fundamental step in a series of projects aimed at improving the infrastructure of basic services in various neighborhoods of the city and reducing the daily struggles of the residents.
The project reflects the commitment of the Hama Water Establishment to improve the lives of citizens and provide more efficient and stable drinking water services in light of increasing needs and field challenges.
