The President of the Syrian Tourism Chambers Union, Talal Khedair, revealed positive indicators towards reactivating the tourism platform for obtaining electronic visas in the near future.

Khedair explained that the platform aims to provide an electronic entry service for Arabs and foreigners wishing to visit the Syrian Arab Republic, allowing them to easily apply for visas online without the need for complex traditional procedures.

He emphasized that activating the platform would significantly facilitate the arrival of tourist groups, highlighting ongoing organized efforts to ensure the smooth and secure entry of these groups in compliance with regulations and guidelines.

He mentioned intensive efforts among several relevant ministries, including the Ministries of Tourism, Interior, and Communications, to reactivate and effectively launch the platform to serve the tourism sector in Syria.

In a related context, Khedair noted that during a meeting with the Minister of Tourism, Mazen Salihani, they discussed the Syrian Tourism Chambers Union's action plan for the next phase, aiming to enhance the performance of tourism chambers in various provinces for the overall benefit of the tourism sector.

The anticipated step of reactivating electronic visas is part of broader efforts by relevant authorities to boost the tourism sector and facilitate visitors coming to Syria amid improving conditions and increasing interest in cultural, religious, and heritage tourism.
