Elon Musk Launches Fresh Attack on Trump's Tax Plan: 'Insane and Destructive'

Billionaire American Elon Musk has escalated his attack on President Donald Trump's new tax and spending law, describing the latest version as 'completely insane and destructive,' warning of its repercussions on the future of the US economy.

In a post on 'X' platform, Musk said the legislation 'will destroy millions of jobs and cause significant strategic damage to the United States,' noting that the law supports old industries at the expense of future sectors.

The controversial 940-page bill is an extension of tax cuts dating back to 2017, including additional tax cuts while boosting military spending and securing borders.

However, analysts cautioned that this move could add up to $4 trillion to the US debt over the next decade, according to the Federal Budget Committee.

Despite these warnings, Republicans describe the project as a means to 'achieve greater prosperity and security' for the country. Democrats strongly oppose it, affirming that it favors the rich and undermines essential social programs for the poor.

It is worth mentioning that the dispute between Musk and Trump over this project dates back several weeks, before reaching a temporary truce, which seems to have collapsed again with the introduction of the latest version for voting in the Republican-controlled Senate.
