Netanyahu: "We Accepted Proposal by Wietkof... Hamas is the One Rejecting the Ceasefire"

Netanyahu, in a video posted on his X platform account, stated: "I returned after an important visit. It was a very successful visit, after a major victory over Iran. There are many opportunities, many possibilities, and many tasks. I am determined to achieve them all".
Regarding media reports about the Israeli government's rejection of a ceasefire proposal in Gaza, Netanyahu clarified: "Their rhetoric always echoes Hamas propaganda, but they are always wrong. We accepted the deal, Wietkof's deal, and then the version proposed by the mediators. We accepted them, it is Hamas who rejected them".
He added: "Hamas wants to remain in Gaza. It wants us to withdraw, and for it to rearm itself, so it can attack us time and time again. I will not accept that. I will do everything in my power to bring back our prisoners".
He continued: "I meet with the families of the hostages, I understand their position, I know their suffering. I am determined to return the prisoners to their homes and to eliminate Hamas".
He also emphasized that he "insists on releasing the prisoners, and is determined to achieve the other goal of the war in Gaza, which is to eliminate Hamas, and ensure that Gaza does not pose a threat to Israel again. This is what I do, and I will not compromise on any of these goals".
