Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has sent a sharp message to French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, accusing them of being "on the wrong side of justice and humanity" after condemning what they described as "heinous acts" committed by his government in Gaza. In a video statement released by his office, Netanyahu stated that European leaders have been deceived by Hamas propaganda, affirming that Israeli military operations against the movement will continue, considering that international demands for Israel to surrender encourage Hamas to continue fighting. Netanyahu also affirmed that reports from international institutions regarding famine in Gaza are "false," indicating that Israel plans to establish large safe zones in southern Gaza to relocate the population. On the ground, the suffering of Gaza residents continues with the ongoing Israeli blockade that began in March, despite Israel recently approving the entry of less than 100 aid trucks. Israel accuses Hamas of seizing supplies intended for civilians, while the movement denies this. The military operations, which began in response to a Hamas attack on October 7, have resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis and the holding of 251 hostages, while Gaza statistics indicate the deaths of over 53,600 Palestinians, with widespread malnutrition and extensive destruction in the coastal enclave, according to relief organizations' reports.
