Netanyahu and Trump Abandon Ceasefire Negotiations in Gaza

Netanyahu mentioned that Israel is now exploring "alternative" options to achieve its goals of releasing hostages from Gaza and ending Hamas' rule in the region, where hunger is rampant, and most residents are displaced amidst widespread destruction.
Trump also indicated his belief that the movement's leaders are now being "pursued," telling reporters at the White House, "Hamas did not want to reach an agreement. I think they want death. This is extremely bad. It has reached a point where the mission must be terminated."
The statements appeared to close the door, at least in the near term, to resuming ceasefire negotiations, at a time when international concerns are escalating over worsening hunger in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
