In sharp statements, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked the United Nations, accusing it of fabricating excuses and spreading lies about obstructing the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, affirming that his country provides safe passages and official approvals for the passage of supply convoys.
During a visit today, Sunday, to the "Ramon" airbase, Netanyahu emphasized Israel's commitment to ensuring the minimum of humanitarian aid to the sector, despite the continuation of military operations.
* Field progress and negotiations on hostages
Netanyahu explained that the Israeli army is making progress in its operations inside Gaza, while negotiations continue for the release of hostages held by Hamas.
He offered his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and wished a speedy recovery for the injured, emphasizing that the ultimate goal of the operation is "eliminating Hamas" and achieving "complete victory."
* Daily truce in three densely populated areas
In a step to contain growing international criticism, Israel announced the start of a tactical suspension of military operations as of yesterday in three densely populated areas within the sector: Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Al-Mawasi.
This daily truce starts from ten in the morning until eight in the evening local time, until further notice, as part of what Israel described as "new humanitarian measures" aimed at increasing the volume of aid reaching the sector.
The Israeli army announced the allocation of safe routes for supplies, in addition to carrying out airdrop operations including parcels of food aid containing flour, sugar, and canned food.
* Warnings of famine and painful images of children
On the other hand, experts in food security have been warning for months of the imminent risk of famine in Gaza, as Israel imposes strict restrictions on aid entry, claiming that Hamas seizes these goods to support its rule, without providing clear evidence.
International criticism of Israel, including from its allies, has increased after the spread of shocking images of Palestinian children suffering from severe malnutrition and poor nutrition, once again highlighting the scale of the humanitarian disaster in the sector.
Despite the ceasefire in specific areas, Israel has reiterated that it continues its military offensive against Hamas in other locations within Gaza.
