Naeem Qasim: The war with Israel has not ended... and withdrawal from Lebanon is a condition for any negotiation.

The Secretary-General of the Lebanese "Hezbollah" party, Naim Qassem, affirmed that the war with Israel has not ended yet, pointing out that Tel Aviv has not complied with the ceasefire arrangements, and that it must withdraw first from Lebanese territories before demanding any action from the party.
This came in statements by Qassem on Sunday, May 25, amid the continued Israeli military presence in at least five locations in southern Lebanon, despite the deadline for complete withdrawal under the ceasefire agreement.
Israel also continues to carry out airstrikes on areas in southern and eastern Lebanon, in an escalation following months of missile exchanges between the two sides.
Qassem said: "Do not ask us for anything anymore, let Israel withdraw, stop its aggression, and release the prisoners, and then we can talk," considering that the United States bears responsibility because "it sponsors Israeli aggression as it did in Gaza."
In a related context, Qassem praised a statement by the Lebanese Army Commander, General Rudolf Heikal, describing him as someone who "expressed his patriotism and the army's patriotism," confirming the party's adherence to the "army-people-resistance equation."
