In a step that reflects the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries, the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received the Syrian President Ahmed Al Shar'a at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi. The meeting, which came within the framework of a working visit by the Syrian President, discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and Syria in various fields, as well as addressing regional issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed affirmed to President Shar'a that the stability and security of Syria represent a strategic interest for the entire region, indicating that the UAE will spare no effort in providing full support to Syria and its people in the upcoming period. He also clarified that the UAE will continue its steadfast commitment to supporting the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Syria. President Ahmed Al Shar'a, in turn, expressed his deep appreciation for the continuous support from the UAE, praising the brotherly relations between the two countries. The two sides discussed a range of issues concerning the region, exchanging views on the challenges facing Arab countries. The Syrian President arrived in Abu Dhabi earlier and was welcomed by the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a number of senior officials in the country. This visit comes at a crucial time, as the UAE seeks to enhance cooperation with Syria to promote regional stability and contribute to the development efforts in the region.
