The Minister of Emergencies and Disaster Management of Syria, Raed Saleh, announced today, Monday, the extinguishing of the forest fire that broke out in the forests of Mashhad Al-Aali in the western rural area of Masyaf in Hama Governorate after intensive and continuous efforts by firefighting teams, civil defense, and volunteers from the locals.
In a tweet on "Twitter", Saleh added: "We closely monitor with the firefighting teams at the ministry the monitoring and observation operations to ensure that the fire does not reignite and spread due to the winds".
Saleh said: "We urge the locals to report any suspicious movements of individuals who may start fires and we thank them for their great efforts in assisting the teams in extinguishing the fire".
