Mikhail Bogdanov Resigns from the Position of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister
Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree relieving Mikhail Bogdanov of his positions as Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East and African countries, based on his personal request due to his advanced age.

A Russian government source confirmed that the resignation was voluntary and without any political pressure, indicating that Bogdanov decided to step down after a long diplomatic career that began when he graduated from the Moscow Institute of International Relations in 1974.

Bogdanov is considered one of the prominent Russian diplomats in the Middle East region, having held important positions including Russian Ambassador to Israel and Egypt, as well as the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He has received numerous prestigious awards both in Russia and abroad.

So far, his successor has not been announced, but Russian sources indicate that there are several candidates being considered for the position.

This decision comes at a time of significant changes in international relations, as Bogdanov played a pivotal role in Russian policy towards the Middle East and African countries.
